I am really excited that Uber is set to introduce an in-app chat feature that allows riders and drivers to send messages to each other from within the app. This means that you no longer need to call or send text messages. Also, the app has “read and delivery receipts” baked into it so riders and drivers will know when their messages have been seen by the other party.
Uber will roll out the in-app message feature globally over the coming weeks and I can’t wait to start using it. Now, let’s see if Taxify would be a Facebook.
